The Monolith

Okay, it’s not a monolith, it’s just the biggest thing I’ve ever repurposed.  This door was dumped in my alley.  While one side is absolutely gorgeous, the other side was not properly protected from the elements, so it was, um, not so gorgeous.  I cleaned it up, added some of my original artwork to the panes, then built a frame around the “bad” side, so it can be hung on the wall.  I strung some white lights behind it, and “viola”, a funky door light.

Oh, and, holy cow, it’s been three months since I posted.  Truth be told, I’ve been rather under the weather.  I think I’m on the upswing, though, so hopefully I’ll become more active again.  Stay tuned!
